Last week I resolved a case for a client who has been keeping me busy for the past two years. He came to me with an Assault charge (alleged to have gotten feisty with a cop down in Old Orchard Beach two summers ago). But by late last summer he picked up another Assault charge, this time in Wiscasset for allegedly attacking his embittered stepdaughter.

In the York County case we got a deferred disposition - stay out of trouble for a year and the case is dismissed. We got the dismissal last month.

In the Lincoln County case we had a jury trial last fall. After two days of pretty unpleasant testimony the jury returned a not-guilty verdict.

So I have a pretty good average with this client He has kept me plenty busy. And perhaps just as importantly, we showed the prosecutors once again that Handelman Law means business.
